Unfortunately, there are many unknown sources. Sometimes I use Pinterest and Tumblr to find these amazing quotes but some users change the links to benefit their own businesses. It is such a shame. When I find the original source, I will update them. Please let me know if you find them! Thank you!

Something I recently discovered about myself is that I am absolutely and totally obsessed with becoming the best me I could be. I love discovering self-help books, I love diving deep into what really bothers me or what my passions are, I love watching successful people and finding out what makes them successful. I have always been this way. I grew up always loving how to better myself.

I took a class in college called "Inner Geographies" where we discover the inner realms of our being. I loved that class so much. I was able to truly reflect on why I am the person that I became through art  and creating a visual of my life. This has transferred into my post-college life. I felt a lack of inspiration and growth until I found yoga.

I love yoga so much and one reason is because it is a life practice that helps better myself. There is always something I can work on. There is no way of "perfecting" yoga. I just have to keep working and I find something work on. Focusing on the breath is noticing the inner chatter to the struggles of finding correct alignment in an asana (posture)... There is always something and I love it!

While I find movement to help me be a better person, I love going back to those college moments where I sit on my bedroom floor and start creating, snipping from magazines, reflecting and journaling. I am always finding ways to be a better person and finding ways to be successful in my own way. I hope that I can help others while I help myself (:

peace and love to you all! <3

I am going through this interest of reading different spiritual texts. I find that many (most) religions have positive and wonderful things they teach. I am a being of the world and I will explore it! (: Happy Yinspiration Monday! I hope you enjoy this weeks mix of motivation.

"I am mine. Before I am ever anyone else's." [IN]

I originally had set up this page for my yoga endeavors and as my yoga journey grew, it became much more than postures and movement. Yoga has changed the way I live my life. It has helped me find peace within myself, keep an open mind, and keep my inner fire burning for learning and love. It has become my own personal spiritual journey as I go through my own personal adventures.

I guess in a way, my blog is changing with me. It is becoming a way for me to document what I am doing in the present moment so I can look back at what I have done or use it as a reference for future me. If I can help others along the way, even better!

My love for yoga is growing and the things I am learning with it is growing as well. While some topics may not seem "yoga-esque", to me it is. My current life lesson it to listen to my intuition and that I am doing. (:

Keep the positivity going my beautiful friends. While there is a lot of negativity going into the world right now, don't forget to stay positive. Change your mind = change the world.

Namaste. <3

Take each week, enjoy it, then let it go. Move on. There is so much life to live, let's live it in the present. (: Here is another little set of motivation and yinspiration for my beautiful and lovely friends. I love you all! <3 Enjoy!

I cannot even explain to you how I am feeling about this. I am excited, ecstatic, happy, but also angry, disappointed, and regretful. I have been doing an experiment on my sleep and what I have found is so.... well, all of those feelings I mentioned above.

A little background, shall we? Throughout my life, I have always thought that I needed my sleep and I cherished my sleep. I told people between ages 19 to 23 that as an adult, I personally needed nine to ten hours of sleep every night. I thought I was the exception to the rule. I believed this. I needed my sleep.

And last week, there I was, waking up one morning with 11 hours of sleep feeling like a truck hit me. I was thinking that this cannot possibly be how people felt in the morning when they get enough sleep. So, I started experimenting and tracked my sleep.

You are all probably yelling at your computer screens like "DUHH KAREL! GET IT TOGETHER!". I get it. But you have to remember that I slept a lot growing up and I just accepted this.

So here I am writing this after two days of cutting off my sleep at eight hours and I feel great. The possibilities are endless! I now how two extra hours a day to do whatever I want to do. I do not press snooze a million times in the morning. I can actually meditate and do yoga before work!

Get your  sleep people. Experiment on yourself and see what makes you feel great.
I hope you have such a wonderful and beautiful day!

Happy Monday! Can you believe it is November?! This year is flewn by!!! Now, okay, I know I haven't been posting much but this blog is becoming more me than yoga, and I am totally okay with that. One consistent thing is yinspiration Monday and I always look forward to it. It is a beautiful and positive way for me to start off my week and I hope it is the same for you. Have a beautiful week friends! <3
