Unfortunately, there are many unknown sources. Sometimes I use Pinterest and Tumblr to find these amazing quotes but some users change the links to benefit their own businesses. It is such a shame. When I find the original source, I will update them. Please let me know if you find them! Thank you!
I had such a magical week at my new job. It is so unreal how much I fell in love with the community. Not only do I get to work with kids and see their progress, the company is also heading towards a sustainable environment. I am so happy to have submitted and signed all my paperwork online AND they are transitioning to having all the kids paperwork online. I love seeing technology being used for sustainable efforts! LOVE IT!

Anyway, I hope you have a beautiful week. As we approach the full moon this Saturday, notice and observe the thoughts and how it feels in your physical body. Just observe, do not change. Maybe it will bring you some insight in your daily life.
Lots of love and positive vibes to you! Here is your yinspiration for the week. (:

The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey
272 pages.
Publisher: Thomas Nelson Publishing
Source: eLibrary

I have been hearing about this money plan all over the place (mostly in Youtube videos). I knew I needed to create a budget and how to do it was totally out of my grasp. I checked it out on the eLibrary and dove right in.

This book has changed my outlook on money entirely. Ramsey gives plenty of examples of people who have followed his plan. All of it is actually common sense but I never really knew I guess. He uses the envelope system to distribute money accordingly when budgeting. Now, I feel prepared to start using my money wisely and control it instead of it controlling me.

I have now been following this plan for two months now and I am noticing a big difference. I almost have my emergency money ready. I am budgeting and actually following my plan. I am living my life very frugally and it has not been hard. I never eat out unless I have the money for it. When I want to buy something, I do not just whip my credit card out and buy it. I take the time to think about if I actually need the item. Usually, I don't. Typically, families can tackle the plan and live debt free (aka finish baby step 2) in under three years. Because I am a single person with one income - part time - with student loans and a car loan, my goal is to live debt free within five years. I think I can do it if I truly work hard. It has gotten me really excited for what is to come. I am so happy that I live rent-free because of my parents! (Mom and Dad, if you are reading this, thank youuuu!!!!)

If you are a person that wants to take control of your money or have lots of student loans and car loans you want to tackle, this is for you. I think it is a book for everybody to read. If you have money and owe money, read this book.

I created a little poster for myself that I put on my wall to remind myself that I have a goal and I will conquer it. I made a graphic version for you to use if you would like to use it! I think reading the book will make more sense when looking at this poster but feel free to print and put on your wall. (:

Something I love to do is to set goals. It helps me work on something that is important to me. Something here at YWK that I want to start doing is sharing ways I work on myself and explore. It is the self exploration through yoga.
I want to ask you... what are the questions you ask yourself? I took the time to reflect on some questions I want to ask myself. So here it is:

What is my dream life?
Who do I want to be?
How can I be that person?
What is my dream job?
What makes me truly happy?
What do I live for?
What am I holding on to?
What are my disappointments?
How can I let go of the hurt?
What do I want to learn?

I challenge you to take some time to think of questions you want to know about yourself and answer it! It would be interesting to read back on your answers and see how it changes over time.

With today's New Moon's energy, I thought it would be appropriate to ask these questions for myself. This is a time to find the light, forgive yourself and others, and spread the love. I hope you all have a lovely weekend! I will be taking this weekend to reflect and set some goals before I start my new job. (: I love you all!

Hello friends! Hope you have a lovely weekend. I am posting this pretty early today because I am heading over to Disneyland in T-minus 45 minutes. Woohoo! I hope you all have a lovely upcoming week. It is my last week off before I start my new job! (:

One thing I decided to dive into during my week off is the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM). I bought the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler a long time ago when I found the new world of natural women's cycles, menstrual cups, and cloth pads. While I have not touched on this subject at all, it is something I have been constantly learning and love. I went on a journey a few years back looking into living a more natural life. As I dove into it, I came across this method and it blew me away.
FAM is a way for a woman to track their own natural cycles. It can be used as a birth control, to plan pregnancies, and (for me) get some more insight on my cycle. FAM looks at three primary fertility signs: waking temperature, cervical fluid, and cervical position. These three signs gives you an insight on when you are ovulating and when you will get your menstrual cycle.

I am only on page 91 in this book and it is already blowing my mind. As a woman, I feel ashamed to not know what is happening in my own body! Why don't they teach us this when we were going through "family life" and health classes? Women's bodies are so complicated and absolutely magical.

Learning how to chart is somewhat a learning curve but once you understand why your body is doing certain things or what things mean, it all makes sense. I have been using the Kindara app to track. I only do temperature right now but since I now know how to track cervical fluid and position, I will be tracking those. Now, I found a cool gadget that Kindara created. It is called Wink. Wink is a thermometer (which you have to use for FAM) that syncs to your phone and vibrates instead of beeps. Let me tell you how much of a game changer this is. First of all, the beeps are annoying especially at seven in the morning. Second of all, I cannot tell you how many times I have lost data because I forgot to put in my temperature in my app. Wink is currently on pre-order for the price of $79. I know. You're probably like WHAT?! $79 for a basal body temperature?! NO WAY! I thought that too until I really weighed in the pros and cons.  Con > price. Pro > reasons mentioned above. I will be using this until I go through menopause (hopefully it lasts that long) and I don't have my cycle anymore. It will help me prevent pregnancy but all so get pregnant when the time comes.

Anyway, I am going to stop rambling now. If you are a woman and you have a cycle, please do yourself a favor and look into FAM. Go buy/borrow Toni's book, get the Kindara app, and get a thermometer (like this really cool one! Or this one if you are on a budget).

I will maybe do a more in depth post how how to chart if you are interested in the future. Let me know in the comments or in any social media platform. I hope you all have a lovely Thursday. I love you!

I am not paid or endorsed to post this or talk about this method. Use the method at your own risk. Do your own research and educate yourself. Kindara and Taking Charge did not pay me to mention their specific book/app/product. These are the ones I have found and used.
I got this push to watch the movie The True Cost. I found it on Netflix and sat down at my desk with my lunch and started watching. What a roller coaster of emotions! The True Cost is about the fashion industry and how consumers purchase clothing and the effects it has on society and the environment.

This post is solely to get you to the watch the movie as my words could not do it justice. The film touches on many important environmental and health factors. As I transition into a more natural lifestyle, I find myself becoming an activist. People are making choices that endanger the lives of others and themselves. How could I continue purchasing fast fashion products with the knowledge that people have died for that piece of clothing, that people leave their children with loved ones in order to work in the factory and not see them for an entire year? One factory worker said "I want the owners [of the clothes] to be aware."

I am now aware. I vow to purchase clothing that is safe to myself and help empower the people that create it. "If you don't like it, you don't have to buy it." Our purchases are our vote on what we stand by. I stand by human rights and Mother Earth. We are so lucky to have the power to choose.

I am not being paid to endorse this. I simply watched a life-changing documentary and wanted to share it with the world. <3
What a crazy busy weekend for me! My cousins and sister came up and it was the first time since Thanksgiving since we've been together. We always have crazy fun. I love them so much!
Anyway, I hope you all have lovely Monday. Here is your yinspiration for the week (:
