Unfortunately, there are many unknown sources. Sometimes I use Pinterest and Tumblr to find these amazing quotes but some users change the links to benefit their own businesses. It is such a shame. When I find the original source, I will update them. Please let me know if you find them! Thank you!
Last week, one of my kids at work got me terribly sick. It has been quite a while since I have got ill and this was pretty bad. I had terrible congestion and my throat was scratchy. The worst was having no energy and having an almost fever the night before I had to go to a field trip. So I took this weekend to reset and give my body some love. I have been doing my CMP program and had cloudy tarot readings and pendulum answers. It has been quite difficult when my intuition is all blocked from this sickness. So I did something about it.

Saturday, I slept for about 12 hours - something I desperately needed especially with the lack of sleep the past few days. I wrote a blog post, ate food, chilled out, laid in bed, then went out for a bit with my parents. Being out running errands and being around people took a toll on my body and I realized I needed to take the weekend reflecting and being on my own. That night, I decided to create a moon intention frame. I did not have a frame that I liked, so I upscaled one that I already had using washi tape. I put some black glitter paper inside and used a neon whiteboard marker to write my moon intentions. This moon corner is now my favorite part of my room!

Sunday, I tried to sleep in but of course my mom tried to wake me up to go on a walk with her. I stayed in and took my time to get ready. I put on an outfit that really called to me and it is now my favorite. I threw my work training binder in a backpack, along with my Kindle, speakers, tarot cards, spiritual journal, and incense and headed over to a local park.

Being out in nature really helps me reset and clear my head. I spent my time there to meditate and play with my cards or in some handstands. It was nice to get away from my usual space and away from others. Sometimes, all I need is to spend time with myself. And that's okay. (:

The New Moon was this past Wednesday and it has been a powerful one. From the videos of guides I have been watching, it seems like the next couple months will be difficult. But it is okay because we have the tools and the strength to pull through.
I have received a few messages for my own life and have turned those messages into my personal New Moon intentions. This month I need to focus on being patient. Patience is something I have very little of but noticing the anxiety in my body when I am feeling impatient is interesting to observe. I have been feeling out how my emotions move and flow.

I would love to share my other messages but they are far too personal to share here. All in all, my soul needs honesty and I need to let go. It seems like something I get every moon cycle - letting go.

My New Moon Intentions & Goals
  • Be patient
  • Get back into a yoga routine
  • Learn something new
  • Read

I hear an argument all the time that people throw the world "love" around like it is confetti. When I am among friends, I tell them I love them. I tell my mom a hundred times a day that I love her. I tell my sister, my dad, my cousins, my best friends. I will almost always say "I love you." And I mean it.

Back in October, I lost my beautiful aunt to cancer. She is radiant, always positive, always smiling. She is everyone's favorite. I kept thinking, "What was my last encounter with her?" I do not remember what happened or what was said but I do remember this... The last words I told her was "I love you." I hold this memory so close to my heart. Ever since I realized this, I have been telling everyone I love them. I want to spread the love. I really want to show people how much they mean in my life. So the next time you hear me tell you I love you, I truly mean it.

You are a wonderful being that has been blessed to live a physical life upon this beautiful Earth. You are moving mountains in people's lives. You are making a difference in this world with every decision, word, and movement you make. Spread your love like it is confetti. Tell people you appreciate them. Hold your loved ones close to your heart and express your love to everyone you meet. Be loving. Be grateful. Just. Be.

I love you, my beautiful friends. <3

What an amazing and very eventful last few days. One of my best friends got married this weekend and it was absolutely beautiful. I don't think I've had that much fun in quite a long time. I am so happy to witness the two radiate with love. Congratulations Amanda and Andrew! I hope you are having an amazing time in Maui!!! <3

Meanwhile, here at Yoga with Karel... here is your yinspiration for the week! More posts coming soon...

Steeper - I have been making iced tea all month long and finally caved and bought myself and Steeper from David's Tea. It is so easy to clean and so fun to use. The only downside is that it does not fit larger rimmed mugs. However, I have not had this issue since I use mason jars to make tea because I love the large amounts. I have only used my Steeper for iced tea, I don't think I would use it for hot tea since I could just use an infuser.

Kindle Fire HD - I am still loving my Kindle although I feel like it is slowly starting to crap out on me. Instead of using it for Sims like usual, I have been borrowing books from the eLibrary and reading a ton! I love it so so much. Two of the books I read are now my favorites and have ended up on this list. (:

Wide Mouth Quart Bell Jars - As I have mentioned before, I love using these for my teas. I use them for everything though. My other favorite is doing infused waters in these jar. I throw in lemon, mint, orange, lemon, and strawberries into my water and let it sit overnight. In the morning, I will switch out the top for one of my Mason Bar Company ones. The only problem is that because it is in glass, it can easily break. Working with kids, I always keep an eye on where I put it so nobody gets hurt. Other than that, I prefer drinking out of glass. I think it is the safest material to store drinks in.

KonMarie Method - I read the book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo and it totally changed my ideas about tidying and organization. I will do a complete post about my process. I am finished with the clothing section and now I am moving onto books. I am having fun with it because all my life, I look around my room and just think about how much crap (sorry, lack of a better word) I had. This book has given me freedom from my stuff and has given me the power to move on from the items that no longer bring joy into my life. I highly recommend this book.

Dave Ramsey - I borrowed the book The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. Another book that truly changed they way I look at money. I am still in baby step one but I can already feel the changes in my life. I finally feel like I have control over my money instead of the money controlling me. I will also write a blog post to dive deeper into this subject. I highly recommend this book. I am so lucky to have found this book at such a young age so I can control my money.

DIY Toner - I have been obsessed with this toner! I used peppermint essential oil and it helps so much with this summer heat. I spray it on a reusable cotton pad and swipe it over my face. I love the tingle and the coolness when I put it on. Definitely try this toner out! I did a step-by-step DIY, check it out!

Photocircle - This app is so cool! I went to a bachelorette party and it was the easiest way for all the girls to share photos. I love it because it is private, so only people who are invited can view it, and there is a comment feature. I have created an album for my cousins and I and also for my family. I really love it. The best part is that it is free!

Mint Chocolate Rooibos by David's Tea - LOOOVEE this tea! I received it as a tea sampler in my Easter Pack that I purchased on sale. It had 12 teas and this was one of them. Oh my! It is all my favorites. I love mint, I love chocolate (especially at a specific time of month) and red teas are my favorite. These three together is NOM. I love it iced but I am sure it is as delicious hot.
